Building Materials Industry

Who is Colombia Resources?

New Colombia Resources, Inc., is a company dedicated to acquiring and developing high-quality coal and other available natural resources within the Republic of Colombia. New Colombia Resources currently owns 100% of La Tabaquera metallurgical coal mine in Colombia, which contains up to 17 million tonnes (metric tons) of reserves.

Why Coal?

The building materials industry is rapidly growing. In fact, in the next 10 years, the production of building materials will double from 160 million tons to 320 million tons. This is due, in part, to the increase in construction -- especially 4G infrastructure projects.

Currently, there's no better time than now to invest in natural mining resources within the building materials industry, particularly coal.

According to Carlos Fernando Forero, the director general of Asogravas, the industry will continue to remain in a growth rate of 6 to 10% over the next 10 years.

So far, the sector estimated that 74 million tons of additional supplies will be needed for 4G projects alone.

Coal, palm oil, and other natural resources are ecologically sound and provide an alternative to toxic substances that have previously brought destruction to the environment. Natural resources also provide accessible means for building for local communities.

Building a New Future

In a recent and comprehensive study in conjunction with the Mining and Energy Planning Unit and the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Forero revealed that the demand for building materials in 24 major urban centers is higher than ever, seeking as many as 71 million tons by 2025.

Of all locations, the capital city is in the greatest demand for construction materials and is projected to consume 18.56 million tonnes by 2023.

Forero believes that one of the biggest challenges faced by the building materials industry is getting access to materials close to urban centers, as sourcing materials is a costly and ineffective method.

And that's where New Colombia Resources Inc. comes in. As a new age of infrastructure dawns, our company seeks to usher in the age for construction materials in the building materials industry and provide accessible and sustainable resources.
